Eric focuses on deal sourcing, disciplined underwriting, and long-term relationship-building with all our investors and broker partners. His professional experience includes 10+ years of working in the world of residential architecture and land planning. Eric is also a husband, father of two boys, and a Marine Corps infantry veteran.

Ian Smart

Managing Partner

Ian focuses on financial management, accounting, and asset management for every deal, including advanced financial modeling and underwriting. His professional experience includes 8+ years of internal auditing for regional banking institutions. Ian is also a dog dad and a Marine Corps infantry veteran.

Eric Montgomery

Eric focuses on project financing, including loan sourcing and raising capital, and developing/nurturing investor relationships. His professional experience includes 16+ years of working in financial services and owning and operating his own mortgage brokerage. Eric is also a husband, father of two, and an Army veteran.
